In the Seneau family, we have been winemakers from father to son for five generations :
Our estate, Domaine du Grand Moulin, was bought in 1818 by our grandfather, Désiré, at a candle auction*.
Maxim, who came after him, bought plots of land from the owner of the local Château in 1928.
This acquisition became part of the family winegrowing estate.
Roger, his son, carried on the family tradition of refining the winemaking process, expanding the Sauvignon production and participating in the creation of the Touraine A.O.C. (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée). During the next generation,
Yves and his wife Monique worked to modernize and adapt their wineries to new production techniques, transmitting their traditional "savoir-faire" to their son.
Vincent, from the latest generation, puts his energy into sales at the Domaine cellars, and has proved his winemaking arts in creating a line of sparkling wines.
